Sister "Grandma" Maria Morales teaches Sunday School to a captivated audience, her two grandchildren, Dalis Maria and Danny Boy Morales. The topic of the day is the Magi who visited the baby Jesus. Sister Morales has been in the ministry over 50 years.

Over Holiday break, she told me that her first start in ministry was at the age of 12 serving as a Sunday School Teacher and Sunday School Treasurer. Together with her husband, my dad, Dan Sr., they have a combined ministry career that spans over a century. When one adds the career of CLC's Associate Pastor, Mary Louise Vigil, the pastoral staff of Christian Life Center Assembly of God has 130 years of ministerial experience---talk about bondservants for the Lord, of course I am baised ;-).

My sister and I are tremendously blessed to have such great role models not only for ourselves but for our children as well (Rev. Mary Louise is my youngest son's God-mother or madrina). We are not the only blessed ones: CLC, the Assemblies of God, the city of Douglas, and the body of Christ at large have been the benefactors of their dedicated service.
